With the kids back in school and summer wrapping up, I thought it would be a good time to remind folks about three fun events coming up this September right here in Riverside. On Friday, September 8th from 6:30 pm to 9 pm, RIV-Inia returns to Guthrie Park. Zydeco Voodoo will take the stage starting at 7 pm bringing their New Orleans inspired music with them. Mollie's Public House will also be there covering all your food & beverage needs. Bring a blanket, chairs, picnic basket and whatever else you might need for what should be another great family event right here in Riverside. On Thursday, September 21st, Riverside Parks & Recreation is hosting their annual Touch-A-Truck event for the kids. Here are the details courtesy of the Parks & Recreation Facebook page: Animal Farm will be our musical entertainment! Most children are simply fascinated with all things motorized! Now’s their chance to explore the vehicles that excite their senses! Come make the lights flash, honk the horn, sound the siren and get uncover the mysteries of BIG vehicles at Touch-A-Truck! Don't miss out! We've attended this event the past few years and it's been great. Kids really enjoy the music and the chance to test out all the big trucks for themselves. On Saturday, September 30th, starting at 4 pm, the Hop Stop Craft Beer Fest returns to the Riverside Train Station. This annual event is hosted by Riverside Foods & the Fredrick Law Olmsted Society (FLOS).
