Our village shines when it comes to hosting holidays events and Riverside Parks & Recreation is upping the ante this year with a Gingerbread House Competition. The deadline to register is this Thursday, November 30th. You can register online right here.
It is another great family event right here in Riverside and a chance to showcase your gingerbread house-making skills. The winning team takes home a Parks & Recreation gift certificate and bragging rights over their neighbors for the whole year. Reminder: The 2017 Riverside Holiday stroll is this Friday, December 1st, starting at 5:30 pm. I hope to see a lot of familiar faces and meet some new folks as well. Don't hesitate to say hello! I am convinced that Ben Sells might just be the most interesting man in Riverside. I previously knew Ben through his service as our Village President but I didn't know about his diverse background & skill set including his work as an attorney, psychotherapist, and author. And that's before we even mention his current business where he is the owner & captain of Fairwind Sail Charters.
In our conversation, we discuss Ben's history here in Riverside, how he transitioned from his roles in the legal & psychotherapy fields to owning his current sailing business, and how he channels his diverse skill set into his selfless service as our Village President. I think you'll really enjoy getting to know our neighbor Ben Sells as I certainly did.
