Photos by Riverside Farmers' Market
There was some disappointment earlier this summer that the pizza vendor didn't return to the Farmers' Market as it was a great Wednesday night dinner option and gathering spot for many local families. I happy to report that the Market now has added a new dinner option in Tamales Express. In the name of "research", we tried the chicken tinga tacos along with the pork in salsa verde & roasted poblano peppers with cheese tamales last night and they were all delicious. I'm making myself hungry again just thinking about them! Tamales Express will be at the Market the rest of the summer. I recommend you give them a shot.
Since 1993, the Riverside Arts Center (RAC) has been providing Riverside, its surrounding suburbs and the city of Chicago with exhibitions, art classes, and special events. I didn't personally know about this great non-profit right here in Riverside until a neighbor recommended that I speak with Camille Silverman, the executive director of RAC, for the podcast.
In our conversation, we discuss how Camille found her way here to Riverside and how a visit to RAC ultimately lead to her current role as the executive director. We also discuss the many great programs, classes, and exhibits that RAC offers for both children and adults right here in Riverside. I hope you enjoy my conversation with our neighbor, Camille Silverman.
