Erika's Deli is back in action with new owners and focus on authentic Mexican cuisine. Located at 25 Forest Ave right in downtown Riverside, the new owners are quickly making a name for themselves and are open 11 am to 8 pm everyday.
The tamales & tacos were delicious and it's become a regular lunch spot for me as you can either eat in the restaurant or take it to go. The owners have already updated the menu and are adding more items so be sure to let them know if you have suggestions of items you'd like to see. If you haven't already, be sure to give our newest restaurant in town a shot. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

There was some disappointment earlier this summer that the pizza vendor didn't return to the Farmers' Market as it was a great Wednesday night dinner option and gathering spot for many local families.
I happy to report that the Market now has added a new dinner option in Tamales Express.
In the name of "research", we tried the chicken tinga tacos along with the pork in salsa verde & roasted poblano peppers with cheese tamales last night and they were all delicious. I'm making myself hungry again just thinking about them!
Tamales Express will be at the Market the rest of the summer. I recommend you give them a shot.
After grabbing lunch at Sawmilly the other day, I saw that Let Hair Go was now open at 23 East Burlington in downtown Riverside. I stopped in and met the owners, Ana & Miguel, who couldn't have been nicer and graciously allowed me to take some pictures.
Let Hair Go is primarily for kids & teens haircuts, but Ana let me know they can provide adult haircuts too. We'll be taking our daughter in soon for a haircut and hope you'll give this new local option a chance too.
